A man armed with a six inch knife has robbed a chemist in west Belfast.

He entered the premises on the Stewartstown Road at about 13:45 BST on Monday.

The man, believed to be in his late-20s, threatened staff before making off with a box and a half of oxycontin medication.

This medication is morphine-based and is extremely dangerous if used unless prescribed.

Police said the man was described as having a southern accent, receding hair and a large cut or scar to his left side of his neck.
