Appeal over security guard raids in Tannochside and Stewarton

A five-figure sum of cash has been stolen during two separate armed robberies targeting security guards.
Three men escaped with a four-figure sum of cash after threatening a guard outside Kwik Fit Financial Services in Tannochside at about 14:10 on Thursday.
The second incident, at about 07:00 on Friday, saw two guards threatened by a man with a knife outside Sainsbury's supermarket on Rigg Street, Stewarton.
Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
During the first robbery, a 53-year-old security guard was targeted by three men who pulled up in a white car, in Tannochside, South Lanarkshire.
The guard handed over the cash he was carrying after being threatened by the men, who were carrying a knife and baseball bat.
The men then got back into the car and made off in the direction of Blantyre Farm Road.
The security guard was not injured in the incident. The three men were described as being aged between 20 to 30 years old.
During the robbery in Stewarton, East Ayrshire, two security guards handed over a five-figure sum of cash to a man who was carrying a knife.
He then got into a silver Ford Focus car and made off in the direction of Laneshaw Street.

The man is described as being about 5ft 4in tall, of stocky build, was was wearing a balaclava, blue 'workie' type trousers and a dark top.
The car used in the robbery was stolen from an address in Glasgow a few weeks previously.
