Public help Pilley murder probe
Published: 4th Jun 2010 16:15:07
Information from the public in Argyll has influenced the police search strategy over the disappearance of Edinburgh woman Suzanne Pilley.
The 38-year-old was last seen outside her office in Edinburgh's Thistle Street on 4 May.
Officers believe she was killed that day and her body dumped in countryside in the west of Scotland.
Dog teams have been searching around Argyll Forest and in areas from the Rest And Be Thankful to Glen Orchy.
Det Ch Insp Gary Flannigan, of Lothian and Borders Police, said: "I am hugely grateful to the public for their continued support and response to any appeals for information.
"We have provided specific information on dates and times for sightings of a silver car in the area. Any information we get from the public regarding this car's movements is fed straight into our inquiry team.
"The information they provide will be investigated, and we will try in every case to call the person back to update them on the outcome."
Officers still want to hear from anyone who was in the area of Glen Croe Forest on Wednesday 5 May, either between 1300 BST and 1530 BST or between 1800 BST and 2030 BST, and who may have taken photographs.
