Biker dies after M74 crash near Abington

A 56-year-old motorbike rider has died after coming off his bike on the M74 near Abington in South Lanarkshire.
Emergency services were called to the scene at about 1320 BST on Thursday.
Police said the man appeared to have lost control of his Harley Davidson. He died at the scene. No other vehicles were involved.
Drivers faced long delays as the northbound carriageway was closed for a number of hours following the accident.
Police have appealed for witnesses and a full report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
