Armed robbery at village shop in Lanarkshire

Police in North Lanarkshire are hunting two men who carried out an armed robbery at a shop in Gartcosh at the weekend.
The pair entered Mount Ellen Stores in Drumcavel Road at about 2015 GMT on Saturday.
They threatened two members of staff with weapon and stole a quantity of alcohol.
No-one was injured but shop assistants were left badly shaken. Police have appealed for witnesses.
The first suspect was described as white, 5ft 10in tall and of slim build with short shaven hair. He was wearing a checked bomber-style jacket and had a scar on his left cheek.
The second suspect was described as white, 5ft 6in in height and of medium build. He was wearing a green jumper and dark trousers.
Both spoke with an English accents.
