Britney Spears wedding to be 'traditional and southern'

The upcoming nuptials of Britney Spears and Jason Trawick will be simple and traditional to reflect the singer's southern upbringing, according to reports.

InTouch Weekly said the celebration may take place in Spears' hometown of Kentwood, although no date has yet been set.

The 30-year-old mum-of-two, who was born in Mississippi but grew up in Louisiana, said yes when Trawick, 40, proposed last month. He is her former manager and they have been dating for about two years.

"She wants a traditional southern-style wedding with comfort food, surrounded by her family, her two sons and all of her childhood friends," the magazine quoted a source as saying.

Britney has been married twice before; her first union was a 55-hour Las Vegas affair to Jason Alexander that was swiftly annulled, while her second - to backup dancer Kevin Federline - lasted two years.

Federline is father to Spears' sons, Sean Preston, who is six, and Jayden James, five.
