Rider killed in crash with lorry in Leigh

A motorcyclist has been killed in a crash with a lorry in Greater Manchester.
Police were called to Atherleigh Way (A579), in Leigh, at about 07:50 GMT, after reports of a crash.
The motorcyclist died at the scene. No other details have been released about the rider.
Part of Atherleigh Road has been closed while emergency services deal with the crash, a spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said.
