Britney Spears is engaged
Britney Spears is set to head down the aisle for the third time, following a proposal from her long-term boyfriend Jason Trawick.
The pop singer, 30, hinted at big news on Twitter last night (December 16th), before changing her Facebook status to engaged.
Her ring, according to Us Weekly, is a three-carat sparkler from Neil Lane - but no date for the wedding has been set yet.
The couple headed off to Las Vegas after the news broke to celebrate Trawick's 40th birthday. They have been dating for about three years and her family, as well as sons Sean Preston, six, and Jayden James, five, are said to highly approve of him.
Trawick is Spears' former agent and many believe it was him who played a key role in reviving her career after a much-publicised breakdown in 2007-8.
She was first married to Jason Alexander in January 2004, when they headed to a Vegas chapel and said "I do". However, the marriage was annulled after just 55 hours.
Later that year, she tied the knot with her sons' father Kevin Federline, although they officially divorced in 2008.
