Newport M4 delays after crash near Brynglas tunnels
Published: 31st Oct 2011 08:36:21
Traffic is being delayed on the M4 in south Wales after a collision near the Brynglas tunnels at Newport, say Traffic Wales.
Emergency services are on the scene after reports of a car spinning across the carriageway from the central reservation to the hard shoulder.
One lane is closed due to recovery work on the westbound carriageway between J26 A4042/A4051 (Malpas Road) and J27 B4591 (High Cross).
Six-mile (9km) tailbacks are reported.
Nearby roads are also congested.
These include the southbound A4051 Malpas Road to Bettws Lane (at Bettws Lights) and westbound to J24 A48 / A449 (Coldra).
