Pentyrch murder: 'Evil' Bleddyn King's life sentence
Published: 16th Oct 2012 15:40:56
A teenager who murdered a 64-year-old widower in his bungalow after robbing him has been jailed for life at Cardiff Crown Court.
Bleddyn King, 18, of Abercynon, Rhondda Cynon Taf, has been told he will serve at least 28 years.
King stabbed David Evans 72 times in Pentyrch near Cardiff and used his mobile phone to film his body.
"It is wickedness beyond comprehension - you are evil and dangerous," the judge told him as he jailed him.
King was left covered in Mr Evans's blood after the attack.
The court was told that he made a chilling soundtrack on a two-minute video of the murder scene.
It also heard that powerfully-built King pulled a knife on Mr Evans and stabbed him so forcefully the blade was left bent.
King was convicted on Monday after a 10-day trial.
