A second man has been arrested in connection with the murder of businesswoman Carole Waugh.

Rakesh Bhayani, 40, from Wembley, north-west London, has already been charged with fraud relating to transactions associated with Miss Waugh's identity.

The 50-year-old had been stabbed and her body was found in a lock-up garage in New Malden, London, this month.

Miss Waugh, originally from Durham, was reported missing by her family in May.

On 2 August, her body was found in a blue VW Golf at a lock-up garage at Lime Court in south-west London.

A post-mortem examination found Miss Waugh of Harrowby Street, Marylebone, central London, died from a stab wound to the body.

Mr Bhayani has been charged with three counts of conspiracy to commit fraud by false representation.

He was remanded in custody when he appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court on 24 July.

On 6 August, Nicholas David Kutner, 47, appeared in court accused of fraudulently attempting to let Miss Waugh's flat by pretending to be her brother.

He was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Southwark Crown Court on 13 August.

Police say 10 people have been arrested in connection with the case.
