Man dies after falling from Northern Isles ferry

A man has died after falling overboard from a ferry bound for the Northern Isles.
Aberdeen Coastguard received a call at about 20:15 on Sunday to say a man had fallen from the MV Hjaltland, which operates between Aberdeen and Kirkwall on Orkney.
A spokesman said he was picked up and taken by helicopter to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
The incident happened about 30 miles north of Fraserburgh.
