Cash stolen during armed robbery in Inverin, Connemara

A substantial sum of money has been stolen during an armed robbery at a shop in County Galway.
A member of staff was threatened by a man armed with a gun at the premises in Inverin, Connemara, around 23:45 BST on Monday.
They were then forced to open the premises before being locked in an office.
The shop and adjoining post office have been closed as the investigation continues.
Gardai have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
