Man charged after attack on MP

A man has been charged after an MP was injured when he challenged a man vandalising a Peterborough bus shelter.
Conservative MP Stewart Jackson said he tried to make a citizen's arrest when he saw a man throw a beer bottle at the shelter on Broadway on Saturday.
Cambridgeshire Police said Ivans Karanovs, 20, will appear in court in Peterborough on Monday.
A spokesman said he was charged with criminal damage, using threatening words and behaviour and common assault.
