Man questioned over assault and attempted kidnap in Londonderry

A man is being questioned about an attack and attempted kidnapping in Londonderry at the weekend.
A 19-year-old woman was assaulted at Eskaheen View, Derry, at about 17:00 BST on Saturday.
It is thought her attacker then put her into a van and drove towards Newbuildings.
Police stopped the van a few minutes later. The woman was returned to her family. Her injuries were not life-threatening.
A 21-year-old man has been arrested. Police are appealing for information.
