Church Street Square to be used for art exhibitions
Published: 12th Jul 2012 19:54:40
A former car park in Birmingham has been turned into a public square for art displays.
Seating, trees and lighting have also been installed at Church Street Square at a cost of £800,000.
The project has been funded by Colmore Business District and Birmingham City Council.
The council said a free outdoor photography exhibition will be open at the square on Monday as part of the city's Olympic events programme.
The square is also designed to improve pedestrian links with the Jewellery Quarter, the council said.
