Newcastle United's Danny Simpson 'abused in racist tweet'

Claims a Premier League footballer was subjected to racist abuse on Twitter are being investigated by police.
Newcastle United defender Danny Simpson was allegedly targeted on the social networking site early on Monday.
Northumbria Police said the force was carrying out inquiries following a report of racism at 12:20 BST.
A football club spokeswoman said the club would not tolerate racism "and will take the strongest possible action against those responsible".
