Pilot survives light aircraft crash in Wiltshire field

A light aircraft has crashed in a field in Wiltshire but the pilot escaped with just minor injuries, police said.
Police were called by the fire service to the crash in a field at Winterbourne Earls, near Salisbury, just before midday.
A spokeswoman said: "The wreckage was found near to the A345 at Longhead. The pilot was able to walk away from the wreckage with only minor injuries."
Fire crews remain at the scene removing crash debris.
