A 36-year-old woman was rescued by a neighbour after a blaze broke out at a semi-detached house in East Lothian, according to firefighters.
The blaze took hold at the property in High Street, Prestonpans, shortly after 22:00 on Saturday.
Firefighters from Musselburgh and Newcraighall put out the blaze, which had started in the bedroom.
A fire and rescue spokeswoman said the woman was given oxygen at the scene before being taken to hospital.
An investigation into the cause of the fire is under way.
