Police have said they are becoming "increasingly concerned" for a 15-year-old girl who went missing on her way to school.

Lisa Beacham was last seen at her home in Kennedar Drive in the Elderpark area of Glasgow on Monday morning.

She left at 11:00, saying she was going to her school, Paisley Grammar, but did not arrive.

Lisa is described as 5ft tall, of slim build, with collar length black hair and blue eyes.

When last seen, she was wearing black jeans, a Marilyn Manson t-shirt with a white face, black CAT boots and a black bomber jacket.

Sgt Douglas Davies, from Strathclyde police, said: "We are becoming increasingly concerned for Lisa's wellbeing and safety with the time that passes, and given her age, Lisa is vulnerable and it is imperative we trace her safe and well as soon as possible.

"She is known to frequent Central Station in Glasgow City Centre, as well as the Plaza shopping centre in Paisley and Greenock.

"To date, she has not made contact with her family and we would urge anyone with information on her current location to contact police on 0141 532 5400."
