A hit-and-run driver who knocked down a cyclist in West Lothian is being sought by police.

The 42-year-old man was knocked down on Winchburgh main street near the junction with Niddry Road at about 1400 GMT on Thursday.

Lothian and Borders Police said it was possible the driver did not realise they had collided with the cyclist, who suffered a broken shoulder blade.

It urged the driver of a blue hatchback with roof rails to come forward.
