Fire at Singleton Park, Swansea, destroys building
Published: 5th Mar 2012 08:08:46
A building has been destroyed by fire at Singleton Park in Swansea.
Fire crews from Swansea West and Swansea Central were called to the scene at 02:56 GMT on Monday.
Two main water jets and two hose reels were used to tackle the flames, and a thermal imaging camera was also deployed.
Mid and West Wales Fire Service says officers left the scene at around 05:00 GMT but the building, described as a "detached structure", had burnt down.
Swansea council has a number of large greenhouses, workshops and garages in the park, mainly associated with the park service nursery.
Fire officers were unable to confirm which building was affected by the blaze.
