Police vehicles rammed in chase
Published: 20th Jan 2010 10:26:26
A man has been charged with driving offences in Sussex after allegedly ramming a police motorbike during a pursuit.
Police had been following a stolen Nissan Navara pick-up on the A27, after the driver failed to stop.
A police motorbike and three cars boxed the vehicle in to bring it to a halt.
The man was charged with aggravated vehicle taking, failing to stop, driving whilst disqualified and driving without insurance.
The pursuit caused the A27 to be closed for just under an hour while all vehicles were recovered from the area.
Nobody was injured in the incident and no members of the public or other vehicles were involved or damaged.
