Man charged over fatal Peterhead stabbing

A 37-year-old man has been charged in connection with the fatal stabbing of a man in the Peterhead area of Aberdeenshire.
James Bruce, who was 40 and from Peterhead, died in hospital on Sunday evening following an incident in the Claymore Crescent area of Boddam.
Grampian Police said the man who had been charged was due to appear at Peterhead Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
A report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.
Meanwhile, in a statement issued by police, the family of James Bruce spoke about their "most tragic loss" and said : "We are devastated at the loss of our son, father and husband, James.
"James was a bright light in our lives.
"We are a close family who will miss him so, so much.
"As a family we want to express our thanks to those who have come forward to assist Grampian Police in their investigation."
