Olympics 2012 'can build horse-riding legacy'
Published: 20th Oct 2010 11:13:50
A campaign has been launched to interest more people in horse-riding following the London 2012 Olympic equestrian events.
The British Equestrian Federation's (BEF) Hoof it to Health project aims to build a legacy for the sport from the games.
Organisers say they hope to get people "off the sofa" and into one of the healthiest sports.
They hope to make it more accessible by helping riding schools develop.
BEF chief executive Andrew Finding said: "We are building a lasting legacy for the equestrian industry by investing in expanding riding facilities in London riding centres."
